Agave
Classic desert plant. Very drought tolerant. Before you
dismiss it. It adds great texture and variety to your landscape.
All Agaves die after they bloom. The bloom is a huge spike that
can reach 15’ growing 6” per day! A real show stopper. I always
wondered what would happen if you cut the bloom spike off as
soon as the bloom began to decline. Well it works. My plant
lived—go figure.

Sotol
Very drought tolerant and will bloom yearly but it doesn’t
kill the mother plant like Agave. Bloom stalk grows very rapidly
to 15’. Makes a good light weight hiking stick. Average size 3’x3’ |
Red Yucca
The bloom rises 6 or 7 feet above the plant and is
coral in color. Bloom last a couple of months. Very drought
tolerant. Great accent plant. Average 2’x2’ |
