At High Desert Gardens we offer a wide range of services: for the do-it yourselfer or the client that just wants to come home and see it done! Here are the options.

If you want to do-it -yourself

OPTION 1: We offer hourly consultation with sketches for small projects @ $50 per hour. (Plans are not to scale.)

OPTION 2: We can do a formal drawing (to scale) complete with itemized plant list @ $50 per hour which includes a list of plants, quanities of gravel, weed barrier, etc. needed for the project. (Most plans require a minimum of six hours.)

OPTION 3: We can do a formal drawing (to scale) for free if you purchase a voucher at a minimum of $2,000. The voucher is good to purchase your plants and supplies from High Desert Gardens. Vouchers must be purchased when the plan is complete. (Note: we do not carry gravel.)

For our clients requesting complete installation

OPTION 5: Mike will come out to your home and do an initial consultation. At that consultation he will discuss what you need and give you a ballpark figure on what the project will cost. If the estimate sounds good, we'll draw you a scaled color plan and provide a plant and material list. Next we will have you come into the nursery so we can show you the plan and plants. At that point one of two things happens:

1. Either we make necessary changes, sign a contract, collect a deposit and put you on the schedule.

2. Or if you want to think about it over night or as long as needed, then we collect a fee to reimburse us for the time we spent drawing the plan. The fee for the average front or backyard is $150. The fee for both front and backyard is $250.
If you call at a later date and want to sign a contract, we will subtract the design fee from your final payment. If you want to be involved in the plant selection, come into the nursery and our sales staff will help you pick plants that we commonly use in our designs. Again, if you want Mike to pick out your plants, he has 25 years of design experience and will choose plants that are suitable for your custom design.

PLEASE NOTE:

* This plan is not for your personal use or to be put out for bids.
The design fee is only to compensate us for the time spent.
* If you want to purchase a plan for your personal use or to put out for bids
that is billed at $50 per hour.
* We only design what is to be installed right away- to get a master plan for future use either buy a design at $50 per hour or simply have us design each area as it is to be installed, that avoids all fees.
